Introduction

Welcome to Glassify ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Glassify (the "App"), a home screen widget application offering customizable widgets including clocks, calendars, weather, prayer times, and more.

By using Glassify, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our services. The types of information we collect include:

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, language settings, and time zone.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect approximate or precise location data to display accurate weather information and to calculate Islamic prayer times based on your geographic position.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, including widgets configured, features used, screens viewed, and session duration.
Advertising Identifiers: Such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID, used to deliver and measure advertising (with your consent on iOS via App Tracking Transparency).
Purchase Information: Records of in-app purchases and subscriptions processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, managed via RevenueCat.
Crash and Diagnostic Data: Anonymous crash reports and performance data to help us identify and fix issues.
Locally Stored Preferences: Widget configurations, theme preferences, color choices, and selected fonts stored on your device using AsyncStorage.

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, when contacting support).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its widget functionality.
To deliver location-based features such as weather forecasts and Islamic prayer times.
To personalize your experience and remember your widget preferences across sessions.
To process in-app purchases and manage premium subscriptions.
To display relevant advertisements (for non-premium users) and measure ad performance.
To analyze usage patterns and improve the App's features and user experience.
To detect, prevent, and resolve technical issues and crashes.
To send push notifications about app updates, prayer time reminders, or new features (you can disable these in your device settings).

Permissions We Request

Glassify requests the following permissions to provide its features:

Location: Required for weather widgets to show conditions for your area and for prayer time widgets to calculate accurate Islamic prayer times based on your geographic location.
Notifications: To send you optional reminders such as prayer time alerts and important app updates.
Photos / Media Library: Optional, to allow you to set custom background images for your widgets.
Network Access: To fetch weather data, prayer times, hadith content, remote configuration, and to display advertisements.
Tracking (iOS): Through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, we ask for your permission before tracking your activity for personalized advertising. You may decline at any time.
Advertising ID (Android): Used for advertising and analytics purposes; you can reset or limit this ID through your Android device settings.

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit the functionality of specific widgets.

Advertising

Glassify is supported by advertising for users on the free tier. We use Google AdMob and may receive ad mediation through Meta Audience Network and TikTok Audience Network to display the following ad formats:

Banner ads
Interstitial ads (full-screen)
Rewarded ads (optional, in exchange for unlocking features)
App open ads

These ad networks may use device identifiers and usage data to provide personalized advertising. On iOS, we will only deliver personalized ads if you grant permission through App Tracking Transparency. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings or by upgrading to a premium subscription.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services that have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their privacy policies:

Data Storage and Retention

Most of your preferences and widget configurations are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are not transmitted to our servers. Data sent to third-party services (analytics, crash reports, advertising) is retained according to those providers' policies.

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App's services and comply with legal obligations. You can clear locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All network traffic between the App and our service providers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Glassify is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at raimundarodrigs1975@gmail.com so we can promptly delete it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Include the device identifier or any reference information to help us locate your data.
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.

You may also remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the App from your device. Note that some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to such transfers, which are conducted with appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice within the App.
